YATRAS

Our Disability Awareness Yatras reach different regions, engaging with local communities and spreading awareness about PwD empowerment. These journeys are instrumental in promoting inclusivity and highlighting the capabilities of PwDs. 

The Swavalamban Yatra is an annual flagship event by IDEA, celebrating the achievements of Divyangjans who have ventured into entrepreneurship. This inspiring journey aims to uplift and encourage them, while also raising awareness about disability issues in society. Beyond showcasing the success stories from IDEA's Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), it serves as an "Ability Expo," allowing all PwDs to exhibit their talents. The Yatra travels across Delhi NCR, involving local partners, government stakeholders, and the active participation of diverse individuals, including celebrities and war-disabled veterans.

A highlight of the Yatra is the mobile LED Van, which functions as an "On the Go Stage," screening films on sensitization and inclusiveness. This initiative contributes to creating a more inclusive and accepting community. Last year, the Yatra covered five states, starting from Delhi and concluding at the International Purple Fest 2024 in Goa, marking a significant stride toward recognizing PwDs' accomplishments.
